Split ajenti into ajenti-webconsole and ajenti-client

Станислав Ханжин 12 years ago updated by Eugene Pankov (Project coordinator) 11 years ago 0
This will make ajenti to manage lots of servers in one web-console instance.
Answer
Such an attempt was already made (check out old 'uzuri' branch in git). Unfortunately such remote managing will be unstable and require constant sync between servers.

Instead, we plan to provide a multiserver terminal plugin, and configuration deployment plugin.

Forum!!

Jason Edwards 12 years ago updated by Eugene Pankov (Project coordinator) 11 years ago 0
Definately need a forum for newbies like me to ask questions!

Love the software, installing now, I also +1 for google.
Answer

We'll be using UserEcho for now, which behaves exactly like a forum, minus usual forum mess.

Ajenti-V and rest of the packages needed for ajenti-v installation are no longer found on:

Thats why ajenti-v cannot be installed via apt-get install (i tried apt-get update first):

E: Unable to locate package ajenti-v

E: Unable to locate package ajenti-v-nginx
E: Unable to locate package ajenti-v-mysql
E: Unable to locate package ajenti-v-php-fpm
E: Unable to locate package ajenti-v-mail
E: Unable to locate package ajenti-v-nodejs

Problem with starting ajenti service

darkhoernchen 9 years ago updated by parsa gholipour 4 years ago 5
After some System updates Ajenti wont start anymore!
In Terminal when I start the command service ajenti start the following comes out :

Starting Ajenti:
/etc/init.d/ajenti: 52: /etc/init.d/ajenti: /usr/bin/ajenti-panel: not found
[FAIL] failed ... failed!

Where is ny ajenti-panel and how can I fix it ?

Two-factor authentication with U2F/other providers

Ragnar Karlsson 9 years ago updated by Saidul Islam 7 years ago 2

I'd like to be able to use my Yubikey's U2F function for two-factor auth and not Mozilla persona, and there are other U2F provider options which exist. Can Ajenti auth be extended in a modular fashion? Unfortunately I'm inexperienced with Python so this is probably beyond me!

Ajenti failed to start but ajenit-panel works fine what can i do?

Jonathan Sarry 9 years ago updated 9 years ago 0
So I've read through a lot of the support posts but I cant find a solution to my problem.

The best way I can sum up the problem is if i try to do the command "service ajenti start" or "service ajenti restart" i get

Job for ajenti.service failed. See 'systemctl status ajenti.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.
output of ajenti status

Oddly though if i do "service ajenti-panel -v" everything works fine.

hostapd

Adrian Dimitrov 9 years ago 0
It will be good if there is support for hostapd (http://w1.fi/hostapd/)
