Dynamic email addresses

I found part of the answer. It looks like people often call this "plus addressing" and use this in exim.conf:

local_part_suffix = +*
local_part_suffix_optional

I took a look at exim4.conf and other .conf files but I often see "#--AUTOMATICALLY GENERATED - DO NO EDIT!". I tried to modify exim4.conf.template or update-exim4.conf.conf then run update-exim4.conf but it looks like my edit are not used.

Do you have an idea about how to make this work? :)

You can put it into Mail > Advanced > Custom configuration ;)

Ah, easy then. :)

But it doesn't work so I restarted Exim manually and I got this error:

2014-07-31 18:46:23 Exim configuration error in line 32 of /etc/exim4/exim4.conf:
  main option "local_part_suffix" unknown
 * Warning! Invalid configuration file for exim4. Exiting....

I released an update which adds a "custom local router config", which gets appended to all local inbound router configs.

Thanks boss, the plus addressing is working. :)

I got this error though:

ALERT: exim paniclog /var/log/exim4/paniclog has non-zero size, mail system possibly broken

I deleted the log, restarted Exim and it's okay now but maybe it's something you'd like to fix.
